Yes, yes I know, you have seen ENOUGH of 12/12/12 today already! However Big Kid thought it was AWESOME so we sort of went with it today.
Math was a sheet of addition, subtraction, and multiplication questions where all but one equals 12. He was quite pleased with that. There is a screenshot of it below!
When that was taken care of BK did his reading of 26 Fairmount Avenue. I still don’t like that book, luckily tomorrow is the last day of it so it will be all done. It just doesn’t “matter” much, there isn’t much action or anything going on. I can tell BK isn’t relating to it at all either.
With that done we did a little “treat”. I took pudding and put it on pizza pans and let the kids practice writing/drawing in it plus they got to lick it off their fingers which was downright thrilling for the both of them. It made a little mess but nothing too intense.
We talked a little bit about what it might be like to live like a neanderthal since we had dried fruit and nuts with lunch. We talked about how in the winter they would have had to eat mostly meat since not much grows in the winter! The kids thought it would be quite the challenge.
